Grilled Food in a Snowstorm!

My husband and I love to cook and we have all sorts of utensils, gadgets, appliances and cookware. We have a bread machine, a pasta maker, a coffee maker with a built in coffee grinder, electric frying pans, electric skillets, two Salad Shooters and a George Foreman grill, just to name a few.

When we first got this grill as a gift, I thought I would never use it. I was wrong! We have had it for almost 4 years and I have probably used it at least once a week during that time, and sometimes three or four times a week. It has held up wonderfully but now I am wishing it would break so that we can get the larger version since the small one is no longer large enough for our family of four.

All you do is plug it in and wait a few minutes for it to warm up. Lift the lid, put your food in and close the lid. In a few minutes, the indicator light will let you know that your food is done. If you are like me and like your meat well done, just leave it on for another minute or two. Open the lid, remove the food and eat! Oh, and don't forget to unplug the machine, as there is no on/off switch.

I have used it for hamburgers, steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts, and grilled cheese sandwiches. All of these have come out perfect. The machine is designed to allow fat to drip out of any meat that you are cooking and it flows into a dishwasher-safe plastic tray that comes with the machine. A damp paper towel and a little elbow grease is usually all it takes to cleanup, but if you have something that has been marinated in a sauce, that sauce can be harder to get off.
