George Foreman G5 Grill

When I saw a commercial for this I thought it was pretty cool. So, when my mom asked what my husband wanted for Christmas I told her this grill. We went shopping for it and found it on sale for $119. The sticker said retail was $159. It was a little pricey, but since she loves her son-in-law she bought it.

After getting it home my husband was excited to use it, so that’s what he did. It worked great just like our old smaller foreman, but this one was better. I wanted it because it has the interchangeable plates that allow it to be used as a griddle and waffle maker as well as the grill. It also said you can bake a cake or cookies with it. I was thrilled about the fact we could get rid of our smaller foreman, waffle maker and griddle and replace it with this one appliance. It was also larger than our old foreman which will come in handy since we have a growing family.

So far we have made waffles which turned out great, pancakes which turned out great and our regular grilling products: chicken and steak. Everything we have made on it so far has turned out great.

I love that this grill has the removable plates. Not only does it become multi-functional, but it makes cleaning very simple. It also came with a new little scouring pad/sponge to clean the grill and that works great too. I haven’t tried baking with it yet, but I’m curious to see how things will turn out.

The only problem I have found with this grill is that it’s a little smaller than it looks. While it’s larger than the basic foreman that you get for $20, it’s still not as big as it should be for the price. The size still works good for our soon to be family of 4.
