Sounds too cheap to be good? Well, good for us!

by   cata00 ,  Dec 5, 2002
Pros: Excellent price, no distortion, convenient built-in volume controls, closed-ear
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: There's got to be other, better headphones on the market, but you'd have to pay a lot more to get them.
Review: I have deleted this review after Epinions deactivated my account AND cancelled all my earnings. Granted, my earnings were a non-whopping $7.49 and I probably would have never redeemed them anyway. But I am deeply disturbed by their practice. I haven't ...

Full size sound

by   AlexQBNumba7 ,  Apr 27, 2003
Pros: very comfortable fit, great sound clarity
Cons: somewhat bulky
The Bottom Line: Definently top of the line headphones, but you will pay top of the line price.
Review: I received these headphones for my birthdat back in February and have logged probably 50 hours of music in them so far. the HP170s are the most comfortable and clear sounding headphones I have owned before. The only real downside to these phones is that...

Great product for the Price.

by   tsp159 ,  Aug 21, 2003
Pros: Good sound, good price, independant L/R volume.
Cons: Slightly uncomfortable after very long periods of use, some distortion, bulky.
The Bottom Line: Very good value for the price, I would recommend these if you want a comfortable set of headphones that have good sound but don't want to spend $100.
Review: Purchased these headphones a year ago to replace some horrible Koss headphones. I loved the closed ...

Great Headphones for under $20

by   technodisco ,  Oct 11, 2002
Pros: Cheap, 10 feet long cable, great sound, looks good.
Cons: independent volume controls.
The Bottom Line: I would not hesitate buying it again if necessary. They are good headphones at a cheap price.
Review: I haven't come across any headphones that are this good and cost under $20. It sounds great, with clear highs and lows. The cable is 10 feet long giving ample room to move around. It includes the 1/4" adapter to use with mini-shelf systems, keyboards,...

Are A $20 Pair Of Headphones Any Good? Sort of.

by   jccoun ,  Dec 19, 2005
Pros: Cheap, reliable, and distortion free.
Cons: Ear muffs don't cover the ear tightly allowing outside noise in.
The Bottom Line: These are fine headphones, but they do let a bit of outside noise in.
Review: To me, there's only one reason to own a pair of bulky headphones that completely cover the ears --- to filter out the sounds of the surrounding environment. So that's why a buddy bought me a pair of ear muff headphones as a gift several years ago. I ...

OK for the money - but spend more!

by   mikesopinion7 ,  Oct 11, 2004
Pros: Long cord, stereo/mono switch, fairly comfortable
Cons: Not a snug fit, sound is so-so
Review: I purchased these based on the other opinions here. Great sound at around 20 bucks sounds nice. I'm kind of disappointed in them though, so I'm taking them back. If the bass is turned up slightly and the treble is turned up quite a bit, they sound ...
