The Bottom Line:  Be careful what you buy. You literally get what you pay for
Ok I walked in and bought this computer at FRYS. It seem good and the price for me was great! At least for a quad. So I decided I was ready I asked about the device and didn't really get much help but besides all that I still decided that this one was it. I have been waiting for about 8 years to finally purchase a computer and figure this would be it. I got it and bought a printer with it as well ect... I ended up paying more than what I expected and never got my rebate back ugh! That's a different story though. Anyways, I took it home and the connecting and setting up was quite easy. I got all the advertisements and stuff as well as subscriptions and internet programs of course I deleted those because I didn't want any of it.Although when ever I opened a program it always froze on me or just plain close I really didn't think much about it. It seemed very fast to me and performance was good at first. I thought I had the computer of a lifetime.
Just to make this clear I only use this computer about 2 maybe even less times a week.
Then I started noticing and comparing my computer. My friends computer which is now about four or five years old is a lot faster and turns on faster than mines (and his is only a dual) And I starting noticing that when I used his internet everything was fine? The internet would not stop working or say "not responding" and none of the programs do that? I went back home and When ever I open a program 2 out of 5 times I manage to open the program after about 30 seconds it freezes and says "Not Responding" This gets so frustrating especially when i'm working on a very important report, it freezes it and closes the program. Worst of all sometimes it doesn't save my work I have to start again. When i'm lucky it allows me to restore my work.
All in all the computer freezes a lot, programs don't work as they should and OMG the usb has already fried I have only had this computer for about 6 months now. I cant charge my i pod or put music in it. The cd compartment which I have never used wont open anymore? Oh before I forget they lied as well on the outside there is a sticker that claims the device is a 64 bit, LIARS when I looked in the properties of the computer it reads 32 bit.. I'm so angry that I was not able to return this worthless piece of... well you know what I mean.. I recommend to anyone looking for a computer especially a quad be very careful and DO NOT cheap out... I regret ever even laying eyes on this.
