Garmin Nuvi 680 - The best GPS for the money?

Date of Review:  Feb 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: A great GPS for the price. If you are looking for more from your GPS than just point A-B directions, The Garmin Nuvi 680 is an excellent choice.
Review: I bought my Nuvi 680 (pronounced Nu-Vee) a few months back as a replacement for my Nextar X4-T and my Garmin c330. The Garmin c330 is a great GPS, but was too bare bones for my blood. The Nextar X4-T, on the other hand, had most of the features that...

Don't Get Lost, GET the Nuvi 680!!!

Date of Review:  Mar 20, 2007
The Bottom Line: Buy any of the Garmin NUVI series units. Depending on the options you choose you will not be unhappy, you will be glad if you do!!
Review: If you read my other reviews you will see I was the owner of a Magellan Product, it was a GPS. Great Piece of S***.

Now lets talk a few moments (ok if I go through each & every option it will be longer than a few moments..) about the...

Nuvi 680 is the one to keep long term!

Date of Review:  Sep 2, 2007
The Bottom Line: I am amazed/ love it. Check out the new 7XX series in sep/oct 2007 to see if you need new features, but I still choose the 680 over the 7XX.
Review: As an avid RV'er, I wanted a GPS for many reasons. It's nice to have a "pleasant" female voice gently giving directions. It never once used a 4 letter word or called me a name for not stopping for directions. My current WNS (wife navigation system)...

First Experience with a GPS Device is Good So Far

Date of Review:  Jan 7, 2009
The Bottom Line: Lots of features for the price. It is pretty easy to use and has a large, bright screen. Reliable and accurate and has lots of customizeable settings.
Review: I had been wanting a GPS Navigator for quite a while but they were so expensive. When I bought my car, it was a $1,900 option and portables started at around $400 for entry-level, so I stayed with map books and MapQuest printouts. After reading...

GREAT GARMIN 680, BUT PRICEY

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you like the extra features, and can afford it, the Garmin 680 is for you. Otherwise choose the Garmin 650 which is few hundred dollars cheaper
Review: I brought this item for my husband as a Christmas gift! I was originally going to purchase Garmin 750 because it was on sale at for 450.00 w/50.00 coupon at a local retailer, making it 400.00, but they were Out of Stock. Because I had called earlier...

traffic info is a disaster

Date of Review:  Aug 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: The only reason to pay this much is for traffic info but I never got it. Buy something else
Review: You could not pay me enough to go through what I have with the Nuvi 680. I mainly bought it to help with work commute. The advertised idea of instant traffic reports was highly appealing to me as the Phoenix commute can be a problem. I paid a lot...

It's a keeper!!

Date of Review:  Sep 30, 2007
Review: I love my nuvi! It is easy to use and accurate. Being a Realtor, it is nice not to have to use a map or written directions when showing property in a new or unfamiliar area. It has come in handy when I have had to find an alternative route because...

Garmin does it again.

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: Garmin is the top of this field and this unit has been the most impressive to date. Just the bluetooth makes it worth it.
Review: I started my Garmin experience after having experienced the Magellan as represented by Hertz "never lost" then the in-dash by MB in the ML and finally a portable owned by a buddy. This convinced me to purchase an i3. The i3 was great and portable...
