Garmin nuvi 650 Car GPS Receiver

First off I only review things that I either actually own or had personally tried.

This my friends is a truly reliable GPS. I know there may be some more high tech versions of the Nuvi or any other brands, that has bluetooth compatibility, mp3 player capability. But truth is do you really need that in your portable GPS because if you do I hope all your vehicles already has navigation and have all those bells and whistle when you bought it. Portable GPS as it is, is meant to be portable and easy to use. And the Nuvi 650 fits that description, set up is so easy all you have to do after the initial set up is just plug it in your 12v outlet and go off to your destination.

The Nuvi 650 has a big widescreen (4.3 inches) that allows for a great detail of your map and yet still makes it look so easy to look at, directions are given at proper space and timing to make sure you make the right turn or stop at the right moment.

Its also smart enough to know when its already night time as it adjust the color of the screen to adapt to night time driving (auto dimming function).

Map updates are so simple to use just go to their website find the download section for updates plug in the included usb cable and the updated map of the region (US Mainland for me) your set for gets loaded to your unit.

As for accessories I suggest you get the non-slip friction dashboard mount also made by Garmin, avoids all those messy cable that may cause to block your windshield view.
