No Better Tool to have when you're lost.

     I've had mine a little over a year and have been very pleased with it. Its helped me get past more than a few traffic snargles by allowing me to find a side street a block or two over that took me past the traffic jam.
     I think it has an ambient light sensor because it switches map displays from day to night by itself.
     Once you are locked into a destination, if you take an alternate route, it will redraw and recalculate your route within a second or two. So I think that's a good selling feature, it's faster at the redraw than other companies GPS's I used in the past.
     I have turned the voice off because I don't need another back seat driver. The battery life when it's not plugged into something is really good. When I tested it (left it on to see how long it would last) I got almost a full 24 hrs before it died.
     It interfaces very easily with your PC for downloads and updates. The software is mindless and very simple to run.

Now, here's what I think sux about this unit:
     I travel a lot. I have yet to figure out how to set way-points or follow a pre-programmed route. It would be nice to set up a route, transfer it to an SD card, pop that into the 650 and then follow the arrow to where I wanna go. Garmin says you can do it, in map quest. Yeah right...

     Still, I think this is a very good unit and would buy it again. I would recommend this or any other Garmin Product, I've used many different models and they all seem to work a little better than the competitions.
