Pros: Physically feels very solid but light. Good screen, basemap detail and coverage; good radio range.
Cons: Serial port PC cable (but USB adapter available); navigation takes getting used to; no auto-routing.
The Bottom Line: Good GPS / mapping performance for a handheld unit; good 2-way radio; all in all, Garmin Rino 120 is an awesome accessory for any traveler.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: A mapping GPS receiver and a FRS / GMRS 2-way radio in a single small, rugged, waterproof (submersible) device would seem like a traveler's dream. But does it realize its potential in practical use? The short answer is "yes, for the most part."

Pros: Great functions, very good sattelite reception, waterproof.
Cons: Click stick too small, awkward somewhat bulky shape.
The Bottom Line: So far, I'm very pleased with the GPS functions of this unit. Just need to check out the radio performance to say it's the best thing since sliced bread.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is an excellent unit for the hunter or avid outdoorsman! It picks up and holds onto sattelites better than most units I have seen. I've had about 5 different GPS's over the last few years and this is the coolest and best functioning one for...

Cons: color
The Bottom Line: Great gps. Tons of usable features

Review: I bought the 110 for hunting and hiking. I wasn't interested in the 120 due to cost and features i would never use. The 110 frs radio is pretty good. I can communicate with my buddy easily although we didn't test the range over 1 km.I chose the...

Pros: Battery life, GPS accuracy, features, concept
Cons: Radio is simply useless. Not exaggerating.
The Bottom Line: I'm not sure if I can recommend it. The radio is marginal, but they're customer service is excellent, which is worth a lot. So "maybe".

Review: GPS is great.
Radio has caused me lots of troubles. On first hunting trip, nobody could hear me, I thought the radio was crap, it was nearly a year old and I didn't have the receipt, but I called Garmin and they agreed to fix it. I sent it... |

Pros: Location sending, FRS/GMRS two-way radio, size, durability
Cons: Battery life and power button placement
The Bottom Line: Don't have $3k to spend on marine electronics - how bout $500 for a two pack! Makes keeping track of loved ones easy.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Garmin has been an industry leader in Global Positioning Service (GPS) for a long time. There really are only two at the retail, everyday consumer level that provide GPS, Garmin and Magellan. Now, Garmin has added two-way radio features to their...

Pros: Awesome concept, great execution, seamless radio/GPS interface.
Cons: Legendary Garmin crappy GPS reception. Little memory for custom maps.
The Bottom Line: A good buy, and a good concept if it serves your needs. A separate purchase might be more practical for most.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My other reviews on GPSs focus on Magellans, which I consider to be a superior product with better satellite signal processing. That said, the Garmin Rhino 120 has won me over with the basic concept. A FRS/GMRS radio with dozens of great features...

Pros: Good GPS function, convenient size for hunting/hiking.
Cons: Poor radio function. Very limited compatibility with other mapping and Topo software.
The Bottom Line: Unless you don't need the radio I would stay away. Wait for someone else to release a like unit.

Review: Bought this unit with a friend to use for hunting. I wish I had read some reviews first. We found that after a somewhat steep learning curve, the GPS functions were pretty good. The only GPS issue we had any trouble with was occasional signal loss...

Cons: Battery life short. Use battery saver feature and turn volume down to extend life.

Review: I own both the Rino 110 and Rino 120. Both models are light weight, easy to use and are PACKED with extra features that I did not expect. The Rino 120 has extra memory for more detailed mapping and memory. I live in Southern Utah and spend most if...

Pros: Easy to use GPS
Cons: The worst audio of any frs radio on the market
The Bottom Line: Wait until they work out the bugs

Review: What a great idea, an FRS radio and GPS in one small package. The GPS has a small screen but the zoom makes up for that. Garmin has done a great job making the GPS as simple to use as any I have tried. The Rino uses a Click stick (joy stick ) to...

Pros: Great product, great features.
Cons: Doesn't live up to its advertising.
The Bottom Line: Great product, inaccurate product description.

Review: They lied in their advertising. The unit only transmits at 1 watt, not 2 watts. 2 watts is required for talking 5 miles. Motorola Distance transmits 2 watts and claims 5 mile range, how can Garmin make the same claim while only transmitting at 1...
