Cons: Few Inconsequential Hiccups
The Bottom Line: Garmin hits a homerun with the C550 StreetPilot!

Review: Satellite GPS systems are all the rage this holiday season. In my immediate family, two were exchanged and they both happened to come from Garmin.

Pros: Easy-to-use, reliable and loaded with extra features
Cons: Some quibbles -- out-of-date maps, some odd direction choices, Bluetooth problems
The Bottom Line: Definitely a good choice for anyone on the market for a mid-line GPS with a couple bells and whistles.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My fiance suffers the ill fate of having a birthday less than a month from Christmas. I always promised myself I'd never do the "birthday/Christmas" combined-gift thing for her, but then last year she asked for a GPS receiver. She said that since...

Pros: Great accuracy, great features and VERY portable.

The Bottom Line: Get it. You?ll never want to live without it afterwards.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a review for my Garmin StreetPilot 3 GPS Deluxe. I have to admit that at the $900 price tag, I was a bit shy of making this purchase. However, this past Christmas, I needed to be good to myself and buy this new gadget. I divided my reviews...

Cons: heavy, needle doesn't automatically end in up position
The Bottom Line: Great machine - Great price- Great quality. If you need a good machine this is your top pick.

Review: This is a great basic machine! Outstanding quality - all metal parts typical of Bernina. Has 16 stitches to choose from. Machine is easy to use, easy to learn. I did not want a computerized machine for my basic sewing machine because I didn't want...

Pros: Inexpensive compared to other in-car options, unit is very well designed
Cons: Included software is PC only and not well designed.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a navigation unit, and don't want a permanent installation or to spend more than $800, I recommend this 100%.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I've been looking for routing devices (primarily car based) for over a year now, and none have seemed quite right. Most are in the $2,000 range, and/or require professional installation. Since I lease my car, and don't want to spend that much money,...

Pros: Very accurate, unit easy to use, good display, finds closest gas/restaurants/shopping/lodging
Cons: Expensive (though not unreasonable), can get confused, software can confuse many people
The Bottom Line: For your navigation pleasure, nothing else can be sure to please as the Garmin StreetPilot III. Just check with your wallet, first.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: And I have found it! I was really expecting that this unit will not live up to my expectiation (read that aloud 10x fast...hehe). It may not be accurate. Maps may not be detailed. Nothing can replace my beloved link to Mapquest.com.

Pros: Bluetooth, MP3, traffic, and turn-by-turn spoken directions in one unit / user-friendly interface
Cons: Large-ish. Difficult to have the protective case on while connected.
The Bottom Line: A unit that does everything I want at a price lower than expected. Brilliant interface makes out-of-the-box use possible.

Pros: Very accurate maps. Good street-level navigation.
Cons: Only comes with one coverage area, others cost extra.
The Bottom Line: You get a lot for what you pay for and if you need on-the-fly directions while you're driving, I highly recommend it. For $800 spent, its a worthy investment.
This reviewer recommends this product.

Pros: [Relatively] Cheap. Portable.
Cons: No WAAS. No dead-reckoning. Slow screen redraw and route calculation.
The Bottom Line: The Streetpilot III is about the most economical and practical automotive GPS unit on the market today.

Review: When I bought my new car, I considered getting a GPS unit. I had three choices:
