A Little Older, but Mature Product

Date of Review:  Oct 13, 2007
The Bottom Line: Older model, but still great - Check that it is priced accordingly. Older chipset harder to get fix in trees or urban setting with tall buildings. Great outdoor general-use Unit.
Review: I bought the Garmin GPSMAP 60C about 3 years ago and can t imagine traveling without it now. Its features include:

Sunlight-readable display with 256-color transreflective TFT display (1.5" W x 2.2" H; 2.6" diagonally); color operating...

Garmin GPSMap 60

Date of Review:  Apr 20, 2008
The Bottom Line: Pass on purchasing this model and search for a color model with better display and expandable memory.
Review: I have had this unit for two years. I have been really unhappy with the Garmin GPSMap 60. It functions adequately enough, but the description, "Monochrome" is misplaced. Somebody though it would be a great idea to actually have three colors: white,...

Garmin 60cx note worthy consumer gps.

Review: With the introduction of the "x" (with the siRFIII chipset)map series gps and expandable memory. I own both the Garmin 60cx and 60cs. It has never been more fun to use a gps. Now geocaching and hiking in canopied forests is more precise with fast...

Attaining Enlightenment atop Fujisan

Date of Review:  Apr 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: The Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx is fast, accurate, full-featured, and has excellent signal reception. But you won't find enlightenment atop Fujisan using Garmin's MapSource software.
Review: What is it?
The Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx is a full-featured, consumer model, hand-held, Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. Operating anywhere in the world, it is capable of using signals from up to twelve of a constellation of twenty-four...

Awesome

Date of Review:  Jun 9, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is my second Garmin. The first one was 5 years old used every day and still works. This one is even better. HIGHLY recommended.
Review: This is the second GPS reciever I bought. The first one was also a Garmin, the Emap. The Emap was a monochrome setup and lasted me 5 years of EVERYDAY use. As a technician, I have several pieces of dedicated equipment in my truck. I used the GPS...

Perfect multi-use GPS device!

Date of Review:  May 21, 2006
The Bottom Line: Extremely versatile in the car, motorcycle and on foot through the woods!
Review: About a year ago I had purchased and reviewed two automobile GPS units (Garmin StreetPilot 2620 and Magellan RoadMate 700). But they were returned, as they didn't truly fulfill all of my needs.

My needs:
Portable GPS device that can...

Best out there

Date of Review:  Oct 28, 2008
Review: This is the best hand held I have ever owned. It also works with my sailboat nav system. I have found it to be very accurate and it has gotten me out of some tight spots when we unexpectedly ran into snow covered trails.

Terrible Experience with Customer Support

Date of Review:  Jun 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: I am now afraid of Garmin products. If they fail, expect to pay a hefty price....
Review: I bought it as I was traveling to Croatia and wanted a rugged, waterproof GPS.

I discovered after buying it that the maps were very expensive ($300). And Garmin does all it can to prevent open source mapping applications from accessing the...

Garmin 60CS GPS = Value for your money

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: If ATVing, hiking, camping, daily or interstate driving is your thing, then the 60CS will get you there and back every time. This GPS can be easily used by anyone.
Review: Well, it will be hard to add to the reviews posted by sezrfas and dynamicfigure. They covered this unit pretty well. If you skipped these reviews please go back and read them once you have read mine.
