Garmin Quest Handheld GPS Receiver

I needed something that I could carry anywhere, not too expensive and use in my Jeep. I'm extremely satisfied with this product and it's ease of use. I've used it for basic navigation assistance, not the fine tooth comb stuff. Construction is solid and designed for the outdoors. Speedometer is really accurate!!
Unit-wise the real drawback is that you can't add memory, there's no portal for memory media, it's all internal.
My favorite feature is that you can set up the display to be illuminated all the time when not plugged into a power source (geocaching after the sun goes down) this is a big plus and of course this will deplete the internal battery a lot quicker. Receiver software upgrades are available via company site. Recommend acquiring the external antenna as it will greatly enhance your reception. The compact flip up antenna works well it just takes longer for reception to lock on. The only thing I had a problem with is the vehicle mount that is constructed for a window or windshield. Bumpy roads or sharp jolts can cause the suction to fail and who knows where your Garmin will end up in the middle of driving.
