Very nice GPS!

I use this as a glorifed pedometer. It tells me the exact distance I walked. Plus it can tell you a whole lot more..ETA,elaped time,current speed, average speed, sunrise, sundown, best hunting/fishing times, altitude, bearing, compass plus even a whole lot more! Plus you can choose what to display on each page. Very handy. It uses rechargable NMH cells along with alkalines. (just be sure to set the unit correctly for the type of battery) It always picks up satellites, even indoors in a lot of cases. It even works in a car. I strap it on my rearview mirror and when i arrive home I download the info on the Garmin Mapsource software (sold separately) on my home Pc and can track exactly where i drove to, the speed, distance and all of it plotted on a map. It can also receive uploads (waypoints, routes etc) from the Mapsource software. Be aware that you have to push the computer plug into the unit hard and back it off a bit to get the unit to communicate with the PC.
