Pros: Great puzzles and interesting articles
Cons: A bit expensive
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for puzzle fans
Review: I've been enjoying Games Magazine for about 20 years, and it's still one of my favourites. Games Magazine is such a pleasure because it covers a variety of gaming topics.
The fun starts with the front page. It's always a visual puzzle, not too... |

Pros: Challenging! Great Variety! An entertaining read; very few ads!
Cons: Can be a challenge to beginners; not just "pencil puzzles" if that's what you're looking for!
Review: Games Magazine is exactly what you'd expect to see in a publication of that title, GAMES from cover to cover. I used to subscribe to this magazine years ago. After a while, I had a change of sorts, and found I preferred a publication devoted solely to...

Pros: packed from cover to cover
Cons: none
Review: Games. Simple enough name for a magazine, and this one delivers. The front cover is always some sort of game - Can you spot this? A maze? It varies. The game on the cover is always fun. Not bad considering you haven't even opened the magazine yet!

Pros: Variety of puzzles and skill levels, well written and edited, entertaining
Cons: Only published bi-monthly
Review: A fresh new Games, an erasable pen, some peace and quiet,
and I am in blissful heaven. Since April 1977 I have been subscribed to Games, except the unfortunate hiatus in the 80's when Games Magazine was out of business. I was 11 years ... |

Pros: variety of puzzles, good reviews
Cons: only 6 issues/year
Review: I discovered Games magazine in its earlier incarnation (in the mid-1980s) when I was in college. Several of us would get together and work on our copies when they arrived, inevitably in the middle of exam weeks. We would see how many people we would...

Pros: Varied, colorful, good way to relax.
Cons: Some of those puzzles are REALLY hard!!
Review: How do I love this magazine, let me count the ways. Seriously though, this magazine is overflowing with puzzles, mind-teasers, stories, game advice, trivia and much much more. Although this may sound like a plug for GAMES I fully believe that these are...

Pros: Covers absolutely everything to do with games
Cons: none
Review: I have been reading Games magazine ever since the very first one was published over 20 years ago. As far as I can tell (and I have looked VERY hard) there are no other puzzle/game magazines out there like this one. As such, for me, Games is the...

Pros: Varied puzzles and reviews and articles
Cons: perhaps too many crosswords
Review: When I was little I'd get mom's copy and do the puzzles she didnt like...she's a crossword puzzler and as a little one, these were beyond me...as I grew I started going through old copies that were around the house and doing the crosswords that had been...

Pros: Lots of variety, Fun for everybody!
Cons: None
Review: My husband and I really enjoy this magazine. It has a great variety of puzzles from extremely easy to extremely hard. I prefer puzzles to be relaxing and not stress my mind. I use them as a form of relaxation...not something to make me think too hard....
