More than just "Girlpower!"

The Bottom Line: All in all a pretty good flick but it will downright turn some viewers off as they doze or become disgusted with the melodrama.
Review: G.I. Jane can be misinterpreted as the kind of corny, pro-feminine power movie. While some of those elements may be contained in the film, that's not all it is about.
