Pros:  low cost lots of options in the menu decent quality in good lighting

Cons:  very bad auto focus for indoor scenes

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

The camera works OK for outdoors or well-lit or close-up indoor video.
However, I used it to video tape my son's play last year, and I was very unhappy with the results. I put it on a tripod at the back of the theater and left it on autofocus. The entire play was completely out of focus. I don't know if it was trying to focus on the audience or background or what, but it definitely did not focus on the actors (which were in the middle of the shot). The stage was very well-lit, so I assumed it would focus well.
This year, I put it on manual focus, but the LCD is so small, I couldn't tell if it was in focus or not, so my attempt at manual focus video was almost as bad as the camera's autofocus. Very disappointing, it was such a cute play. :-(
I think for the price, it's a good camera for outdoor events, but don't expect too much otherwise.
