Not a good choice

Date of Review: Jun 11, 2005

I wanted this phone for a number of reasons. I needed a cordless in the kitchen and a speaker phone would be handy. I also needed a radio. The cordless phone is fine, the speaker phone is fair at best and the radio is abysmal.
Out of the box, with the power cord/antenna stretched out a far as possible, the best I could do was get static on any station I would listen to. By adding a long run of wire I can now get one station acceptably, but the sound would be better from a sixties transistor radio.
I do not need or want the answering machine, and every time we have a power glitch, the blasted thing comes back on, interfering with my voice mail.
All in all, I would have been better off with a cordless phone and a cheap radio.

Pros
Doesn't need to be located near phone jack. Caller ID on both base and handset
Cons
Horrible radio, Caller ID fails on base frequently.
