Incredibly unreliable... it would be nice if it worked

The oven has lots of presets that cook food nicely. We even cooked a steak on the special metal grilling platter and it was nicely done. The presets work well for chicken, fish and automatic popcorn. Using the top and bottom heating elements usually ends up in a punishing mess, and as a result we mainly use it as a plain old microwave. Like all the GE Advantium products, this unit is unreliable. We too, had the door latch break and GE charged us $180 to repair... $170 in labor and a $6 part. Nice. I would recommend that you avoid buying this product, it's certainly not worth the money and go with a nice Microwave oven and upgrade to a convection oven
