Product Review

Do not buy this dishwasher!!

by   bradghs ,   Jul 11, 2008

Pros:  It does look pretty when it's not smudged with fingerprints.

Cons:  Doesn't clean, doesn't fit items of differing sizes, and breaks my glassware.

The Bottom Line:  Do not buy. It won't clean your dishes (or dry them) and you'll end up expending more energy.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

Reading the previous review made me think that my wife wrote it. It's the exact experience that we're having with the same dishwasher. I unloaded it this morning and many things came out dirty. It's quite annoying.
The dishes aren't clean and they're not dry so I end up with a dish rack full of glasses and sippy-cups, etc. that are completing their drying cycle the old fashioned way.
The rack situation is horrible. My previous dishwasher had different spacing sizes. One that worked well for plates, one for salad bowls, etc. The spacing on this model is all the same and it's too narrow to accommodate bowls without having them continually falling over on each other (and impeding the already challenged cleaning efforts).
Lastly, I've broken three or four glasses simply putting them in the top rack. It's either that the plastic coating on the top rack isn't as cushy as my old dish washer or the fact that they put a rail in the top that is usually underneath the side to side rails on other dishwashers. I know that's not a clear explanation. Suffice it to say, it's not good.
Words can not express how disappointed I am with this dishwasher. Please, please, please do not buy this dishwasher unless you like to wash dishes by hand. Sometimes I feel like a lottery winner when I open the dishwasher and everything is clean. Unfortunately, like all lotteries, I'm not experiencing that feeling very often. And again, like all lotteries, it's really just a waste of money.
