Would not recommend

I have owned this particular dishwasher for a few years now. It has a number of features and looks pretty nice but it has given me numerous problems over the years. The worst problem I have had recently is that it leaks intermittently for no known reason. We have yet to find the problem. Every once in a while I come home to a puddle of water on the floor and needless to say it is very aggravating. For the most part, it washes dishes fairly well although I give everything a good rinsing before I put them in the dishwasher anyway. It has a heat dry feature which is nice so you can put your dishes away pretty quickly after they are washed although you have to let them cool off a little since dishes tend to be very hot after using this feature. The wash cycle itself is kind of noisy and takes a rather long time though. I purchased many GE appliances when I bought my house and all I can say is they are not built the way they used to be. I have had the GE repairman at my house numerous times for many of the appliances including this dishwasher. The GE quality is just not there anymore. The name used to mean something. I definitely would not recommend buying this dishwasher.
