Incredible find
Pros:
Ease of operation
Massive volume
Easily adjustable tines allow for customization
Extremely quiet
Cons:
Most stores display only the stainless steel model, thus the price scares them off.
The Bottom Line:
An excellent buy at any price. Rivals the more expensive models from Kitchen Aid & Bosch.

Author's Review
The wife and I were looking at a lesser expensive model in the GE line, the 5500 Series Triton, for at least a month when we came upon this treasure. The 5500 ran between $335 (Sam's Club) & $380 (Home Depot). We found this top of the line GE Profile 7800 Series heavily discounted at $372!!! This one has three washer arms and enough bells and whistles to make James Bond and Q happy.
-NSF Anti-Bacterial wash removes 99.999% of all bacteria found on the dishes (90-93 minutes)
-Cookware wash (65-95 minutes, depending on detected amount of cleaning needed to removed dried-on or baked-on soils)
-Normal wash (48-74 minutes)
-Speed Cycle wash (33-36 minutes)
-China/Crystal wash (36-49 minutes)
-Glasses wash (32-45 minutes)
-Rinse only (3-7 minutes)
-Pre-wash (16 minutes)
-Heated Dry (8-30 minutes)
-One to nine hour delay start so that you can schedule hot water use around other activities (showers, laundry, etc.)
The inside is cavernous too. Sixteen place settings will fit within the unit. The owners manual only recommends he use of Cascade, Cascade Complete, & JetDry for use in the 7800 Series dishwasher.
Best Feature - YOU DON'T HAVE TO PRE-RINSE PRIOR TO LOADING THE DISHWASHER. JUST EAT, DRINK, BE MERRY, THEN LOAD!
With the help of the usual "open up a charge and save an additional 10%", we were able to haggle the Lowes salesperson to $315 after markdowns and discounts! The unit was marked down since it was a special order return. It had all the documentation and was not missing any pieces, so we would have been nuts not to buy it.
The dishwasher is an extremely quiet unit. I could nap in a LaZ-Boy parked right next to it.
Since we bought this dishwasher, I have noticed Sears and Lowes only carry the stainless steel doored variant of this model which runs about $700 at Sears. Even at the regular price, $572 at Lowes, this is an incredible dishwasher!
