Do not buy this one! Neither the machine nor the company act as they should.

Purchased GE Profile Dishwasher in December of 2003 because of reputation of manufacturer, the purported quietness of the machine, and the long life of the machine. The dishwasher has NEVER CLEANED the dishes, glassware, or silverware. Frequently the dishes come out dirter than they went in. All dishes, glasses, silverware is 'grimy.' A GE tech said it was the drain hose installed by the Lowes installer, he fixed it. No change. Another said the water was not hot enough (isn't the dishwasher supposed to make up the difference?), though two others took the temperature of the water and said it was OK. Another found that the 'middle arm" was not always rotating and replaced it (it had been redesigned). After 8 service calls over 14 months, the dishwasher does not clean dishes. GE headquarters will neither replace nor refund nor continue to try and repair the dishwasher. They say (real quote) "the technicians say they can find nothing wrong with the dishwasher." BUT IT DOES NOT CLEAN THE DISHES, SILVERWARE, AND GLASSES! ISN'T THAT A MAJOR FAULT? All in all, neither the company nor the technicians have provided customer care/service that I expected....considering what I paid for the dishwasher! Don't get this one - I don't know about other GE Dishwashers, but I DO know how the company handles customers and it is NOT FAIRLY!
