Noisy Oven Cooling Fan

Pros: Gas cook top works well especially with large pots.

Cons: Oven cooling fan is very noisy. Takes long time to preheat oven.

We bought this stove because it was the least expensive commercial-type range. The gas cook top works well, but the cooling fan, that comes on when using the oven, is very noisy.

The manual says that the cooling comes on when the oven components reach a certain temperature, but GE made a design change along the way so now the cooling fan runs anytime you use the oven.

Despite our efforts to return the range GE has been reluctant.
