Nice but not long-lived.

After spending $250 for this beautiful GE Profile microwave in stainless steel, I was very disappointed that it lived only 22 months before blowing its circuitry. As with most small appliances today, repair costs are greater than its replacement cost (now available as low as $189). SO the question is do I try the same one again, or go for another brand (which means I have to buy another built-in kit)???

Too bad the limited warrantee is only for 12 months. This one blew up on a bag of popcorn, getting a "sensor error" - upon inspection the sensor plate on the sidewall was scorched and burned through. Service guy says it happens all the time. So, after a $75 service call, I should have just bought a new one instead. Live and learn.
