Don't be fooled by low price! I bought this refrigerator at Lowe's in October 2006. I asked both the Maytag repairman who was working on my new range and the repairman (installer) for our new washer to recommend a refrigerator and they each said without hesitation to go with GE.

Well thought out design. The pull out shelves make the items in the back easily accessible. The snack pan is perfect for cheeses and sandwich meat. The glass shelves make it easy to clean and items don't tip over. Controls on the outside are easy to use and I like the light on the door when I get water or ice at night. Filter is easy to get to.

Freezer burn is non-existent! Amazing!

EXTREMELY QUIET operation which was my major concern. I don't even hear it dump the ice.

Repairman had to make a minor adjustment in a bracket and said I couldn't have chosen a better frig even if I spent twice as much. Very pleased.
