Prone to cutoffs

The Bottom Line: Substandard engineering and performance.
I purchased this phone from Walmart after guessing it was one of the better, and pricier, phone systems they had. The handsets are terrible for dropping calls even when they are within 15 feet of the base unit. Recently one handset has stopped charging and this after only two months of use. The base unit thankfully doesn't drop calls because it is corded.
Sound quality is decent on the base unit, sub standard on the handsets. Voices are distant and noisy. The volume on the earpiece varies tremendously and often the mouthpiece doesn't seem to pick up well as the person I am calling has problems hearing me when I speak at a normal voice.
The base unit has a good set of features and allows you to leave voice memos for others in your home. Sounds neat at first but a feature not used in our house. Make sure the base unit is tilted forward(with the supplied attachment) or the handset will not sit properly and is prone to sliding off, resulting in the line being opened.
I have a wireless network in my home which may be interfering with the handsets, but my cheap phone I had for years(can't recall the make, not one of the major manufacturers) never had any problems because of it.
Regrettable purchase and am doing more research before my next one.
