Lack of Service from Thomson

Product died after 6 months. Sent it back to Thomson per their instruction in October '07; I did not hear from Thomson. Finally, I called Thomson in December and was told "they will look into my claim and get back to me"; they never did. I called again in January to find out about my TV and found out "we cannot help you because we no longer support that equipment". Apparently GE outsourced the repair service to Audiovox on January 2nd. Contacted Audiovox to find out they don't have the data from Thomson. Audiovox suggested I call back in a month. I called Audiovox today to find out they have outsourced the service to a Canadian service company, whose name escapes me at this moment, which has no information from Thomson or Audiovox. The bottom line - Thomson manufactured a poor product brand labeled for GE, and Thomson has displayed even worse customer support. I will never again consider a Thomson/GE product.
