I chose this microwave because Frigidaire is among the dwindling number of brands that are still manufactured in the USA, and I wanted a US-made microwave. It did not work for me because the mounting frame was too weak and bent in the process of installation when it had to bear the weight of the unit. The placement of the mounting screws added to the problem. (Note I did not do the install myself, but relied on an experienced professional installer.) As a result of the design flaws, the microwave would not mount in a level position, and the mounting frame was visibly bent. There was also noticeable 'give' in it -- I could move it up and down after the install, whereas it should be stable and immobile. Two different installers agreed that this was all due to shortcomings in the product's design.
I returned it to Sears and exchanged it for a Sharp model, which is also US-made. Sears was very good about backing and supporting their sale.
It's a shame this didn't work out. I liked almost everything else about it -- the sensor cooking worked great, it looks nice, it has plenty of power, etc. I did note the exhaust fan is far too loud; I would estimate it at approximately 75 decibels in my installation, about twice as loud as the fan system it replaced.
