Good Freezer but door shelves seem frail
Pros:
Spacious, wire shelves, digital control, lock.
Cons:
Door shelves frail, bar to hold items in place is very soft and flexible, icicles
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend it because it holds quite a lot of items, and it does work well at freezing and keeping items frozen.

Author's Review
Our exact model is FFU1764FW. It is a 16.7 cubic ft upright freezer with wire shelves and fixed, full length door bins. The control is digital and is located at the level of the second shelf from the bottom. The manual however, doesn't explain the symbols on the control. There is an up and a down arrow, and a thermometer with 0 and Off beside it, and another thermometer symbol with a snowflake and 7 beside it. The up and down arrows adjust the temperature up and down, but I can only presume that the other symbols are to turn on and off the freezer. Presumably the thermometer with the 7 and the snowflake is to turn the freezer on.
This freezer was bought to replace a twenty old, 15.6 cubic ft GE freezer, so it gives 1 cubic foot more of freezer space. The door bins seem to be made of thinner material than the one in the old GE. The plastic bar to hold items in place is extremely soft and can be easily flexed with your hand! I'm not sure how long they will last, and I wouldn't use the door shelves for any heavy items. The wire shelves are non-adjustable with the biggest compartment at the bottom of the freezer.
I measured the energy consumption with a Kill-a-Watt meter, and initially after it had been allowed to cool for 4 hours, then filled with the contents of the other freezer, it showed an energy consumption of over 1200 kWh! I reset the Kill-a-Watt meter, and after it had been running for a few days, the energy consumption declined until it now averages approximately 728 kWh, still above the 682 kWh it is supposed to use. I tried changing the temperature to 5 instead of 4, but it seemed to burn more electricity, so I changed it back to 4. I'm not sure if the temperature is in Fahrenheit or Celsius - another thing lacking in the manual. However, compared to the old freezer which consumed about 1550 kWh per year, this is wonderful.
A feature which is lacking is wheels or "slides" on the base of the freezer. The front of the freezer has two adjustable legs so that you can adjust the freezer to ensure that it tilts slightly back so the door closes when it is half open. However, because of the grill at the bottom, it is not easy to access the pegs. There is none at the back, only the metal frame of the fridge, so you have to be careful when moving it.
UPDATE
Icicles ten to form on one side at the top towards the hinge side of the interior cabinet and on the top of the door on the same side. It seems this is a typical problem though from what I've read online. Doesn't seem to affect the functioning of the unit though.
