Love it! Great Price for a Great Unit with Great Functions!
Pros:
Quiet at low fan speed, lots of functions
Cons:
ugly, but they all are!
The Bottom Line:
If you can get the same deal at Lowe's you can't beat this unit for the price.

Author's Review
First let me say that I have the Frigidaire FAA 06_7_P7A. Frigidaire has created a "special" model number just for Lowe's, which makes price comparisons impossible of course, but the specs are identical.
That little bit of chicanery aside, this A/C is GREAT. You can read the specs yourself by clicking on the details, but let me highlight a few of my favorite functions.
First of all it has a VERY high ENERGY STAR® rating of 10.7, making it Consumer Research's best buy and qualifying me for a $20 rebate in the state of NJ!
Secondly, it has a check filter light. Not only does a clean filter mean a better functioning A/C unit but also that the clean air filtration function works better.
Thirdly, you can adjust the fan speed, and thus the noise made by the unit. This feature is nice for when you are watching TV or sleeping.
While sleeping, you can save even more money by activating the sleep function. This causes the thermostat on the unit to increase 2 degrees after 30 minutes and another 2 degrees after another 30 minutes. You won't notice the increase of 4 degrees and you will save some money.
You can also use the energy saver function, which basically turns the unit on and off based on a temperature you select once it is reached.
The remote is oddly clunky, but you can change all the settings from it.
It installed in about 20 minutes, fairly easily given that installation involves balancing something that weighs 49 pounds on your windowsill! The enclosed foam and pleated side panels aren't the most attractive things I've ever seen, but then window A/C units are unsightly in general.
Best of all, although list price for this item is $293.85, I got it for $138 at Lowes! Factor in the rebate and I paid $118. Frigidaire provides a 5 year in home warranty, so given that and the low price, I passed on the one year extended warranty from Lowe's.
UPDATE A Year later and two hot summers in NJ have passed. This unit is still working great. It keeps itself at peak efficiency by showing a reminder light when the filter is dirty. The Energy saver feature has come in really handy at nights. I keep waiting for my other two window units to break so I can buy two more of these!
