Jason returns

Jason makes his return in this second version of the popular first film that had everyone wearing blood drenched hockey masks. Jason relives to seek revenge once again on the kids of Camp Crystal Lake and this time they are in for a bloody horrific treat!

Of course that true film critics will tear this film and its other counter parts apart but in my humble opinion all the Jason films will always be horrific classics to me that made a change in the way horror was made. Yes its the same routine over and over again and the same plot over and over again but that still makes people go out and watch it or rent it or buy it. I used to have all nine films for a collection but I sold them all. They were very fun to watch in the still of the night and that's what made this film fun to watch. The setting is set in the middle of a country sided forest surrounded by a lake that has a symbolic meaning to it. A young boy drowned there when he was a kid and now he's come back to seek revenge on the those teens who let him drown. That is the entire story behind this whole Jason flick. Without that the movie would have never been.

I also find it interesting who the plots unfolds in this film in that it approaches slowly but yet we know it's coming. The whole plot is very so simple. A killer is hunting down teenagers and hashing them for dinner and the whole idea is to run away or try to kill the guy yourself. It has always been that way in every horror film with a killer. That's why these horror flicks are so easy to make. They have a simplistic idea for a plot and then they carry it out.

The special effects in this film were not bad for back in those days in that the blood was more natural looking and the slashing and the cutting to make it look real you know. In all fairness I must say that this film was very good and I am sure a critic will think I don't know what I am talking about but forget those critics. These are opinions that come from us and they mean just as much as everyone who writes them.

Overall this film is perfect for any night of the week. If you have a special someone or even for a group of people. Very fun and entertaining!!
