Gazelle Freestyle
Date of Review: Mar 8, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you do not mind boring exercising, this machine is great.
My friend gave me a Freestyle Gazelle. And I hate it to pieces. It is very boring, but easy to do. Pretty much anyone could do it.
The Freestyle is made by Fitness Quest. It is 40 inches tall and measures 53 1/2 X 33 1/2. My friend bought mine at Walmart.
The Gazelle does give you a good workout. It really works the following muscles: thighs (both front and back), buttocks, calves, front and back of upper arm, shoulders, lower legs, chest, back and core muscles. It does deliver a good workout, I just feel like I am a prisoner on it because it is the same thing everyday when I use it.
I will say the gazelle is very good for people who have joint problems. The Gazelle is good for anyone who wants to work out but feels like they can not due to lots of impact.
The freestyle Gazelle came with personal trainer workout video, which I have only used a few times, a water bottle with a mount which is great to get your water consumption up during exercising, and a eating plan, which I have never used. It has a 90 day warranty on it. The Gazelle will safely hold up to 300 pounds and does take some minor assembly to put it together the first time. It has a built in monitor to monitor your heart rate as well.
The Gazelle claims that it is quiet, to which I have to agree. It makes some noise that I find to be very irratating. It does fold up for easy storage, which is nice, but since it is so big, I prefer not to fold mine up everyday as it is a pain.
All in all I would say this is a good piece of workout equipment. I wish it was not so boring. Everyday I dread getting on it and can not wait for the workout to be over.
