Finest space game ever!

Pros: Lots of control over your ship and weapons
Cons: You'll never command a large ship or a fleet
Review: I started playing the demo version of this game and
got hooked on it. I couldn't stop playing. I'd play hours and hours. Until I reached the end of the demo that is. Then I'd start over. Finally I bought a full version of this... |

The best space sim so far

Pros: Creative, realistic space-flight sim.
Cons: I wish I had more than just a demo.
The Bottom Line: For anyone who likes flight sims (not the airplane kind), this is a good thing, with all those little goodies that you crave.
Review: Well, to be honest, I can't tell you all the stuff you'd like to know, because I only played the demo. But I can tell you the basics. The storyline is that there has been a war between the Terran and Vasudan species for a long time. However, an...

Pros: great control, interesting storyline, sweet weapons.
Cons: nil.
The Bottom Line: Just buy and you will understand.
Review: Freespace is simply one of the best fighter simulation games out there. Its everything, and covers every aspect of what you are looking for. Its so fun you will be glued to your monitor, and develop an addiction.

Raises the bar for space sims

Pros: Simple, solid, playable, fun
Cons: No character development (if you like that), a couple years old
Review: Descent was groundbreaking, but this isn't Descent. Volition took a great idea, pioneered and redefined by the Wing Commander series, and made it better. Freespace brings space combat back to where it belongs: the cockpit. The designers have taken...

Pros: Great graphic's
Cons: Some bugs
Review: I don't normally buy too many games for my PC but after seeing a Free Space advertised on the web I thought I would give it a try. WOW, what a blast! I never thought simulation could be so real. When the manufacturer came out with the new version...

Pros: Good graphics, more sense of "battle", multiplayer, refined gameplay
Cons: Can't think of any, really!
Review: Freespace (short for Descent Freespace: The Great War) technically has nothing to do with Descent, but they need to borrow the name to get themselves "established", and they sure did. This game is what Wing Commander should have been.

Pros: Great interface great options.
Cons: Somewhat steep learning curve
Review: Decent Freespace is a game to take games. I have never in my life been taken in by a game the first time I sit down and loose myself for almost 6 hours. The 6 hours may not seem like much, but I was at a party and am not normally a video game kind of...

BEST Space Sim Ever.

Pros: All of it.
Cons: Its not set in the Star Wars Universe.
Review: I could set out and describe missions and gameplay ect, and say this is the best game ever in the genre. But I won't just do that. I'll also say it what it doesn't have. It doesn't have the bugs of X-Wing Alliance nor its wildy irregular gameplay. It...

Pros: the feel of real space. great sounds and graphics
Cons: have to be a real fast learner to remember all those controls, and strategies
Review: A game every space, simulation fanatics should play. This game has superior graphics, and is designed very well. It has a excellent training portion in which you can go though or skip. The ships controls are what you might picture a real ship, like the...

Pros: Unappreciated Classic = Great Bargain
Cons: Lack of character development
The Bottom Line: A remarkable bargain for the price I paid. An underappreciated game.
Review: I despise paying 50 bucks for games, particularly in the sim/action genre. You know the type: you buy them for full price and six months later they're selling for 15 bucks along with a Prima strategy guide and three expansion sets included. The same...
