Forsaken for Nintendo 64

Product Review

Forsaken should not be Forsaken

by   firebird1 ,   Feb 21, 2008

Pros:  Nice fast paced shooter/first person shooter

Cons:  Makes me motion sick after a while.

The Bottom Line:  Great game. Lots of fun for one or more players. Does make me motion sick after a while though. Well worth the 5-10 dollars I paid for it.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

This was one of the first games I was able to acquire for my used Nintendo 64 when I got it a few years ago at a pawn shop. I would save up my money and go to the local pawn shop to see what was there. Because of the name I almost did not get this game. I am glad I did however. It is one of the most unique games I have ever played. Reminds me a little of Decent I and II for the PC. But as for console games I have seen nothing like it. You fly various machines in complex 3d environments such as the insides of a ficticious nuclear plant. There are upgrades and supplies hidden here and there in the mazes. Also there is a neat feature that when you blow up an enemy you can get their weapons and upgrades. When you die you respan elsewhere and have to go hunting to get your upgrades back. If you are fast and your opponent is not that smart sometimes you can get your stuff back from where you "left" it. You can play multiplayer with up to 4 people. I have only tried this with 2 controllers myself. I do usually get motion sick after playing this game too long. Like Decent directions are in 3d and are up to perspecive which eventually does make me ill. If you are prone to motion sickness you might want to avoid this one. I only get motion sick from video games. Go figure.
