Ford Freestyle.

at first i really wanted the toyota highlander. however, after test driving the 2006 freestyle i was very impressed. it almost handled like a sports car since i drove a mustang for ten years. the ride is excellent. you go over bumps and feel them just a bit but not enough to be disruptive. the transmission is excellent. even having the radio controls on the steering wheel, which i never had, is a joy to have. i have the SEL model and the moonroof is great. it is three rows, which the third row can be pulled down for more cargo room. the sound system is adequate. it is pretty much power everything seats and windows etc and i noticed the AC unit is very strong. in the winter it does not take long at all to heat the car up. not to mention, if you have passengers, there are heat/AC vents for them to use. it even has cupholders larger for "supersized" drinks.
the seats are very comfortable. the controls are easily accessible. i have no complaints.
i wanted a toyota highlander very much. however, the freestyle offered everything i wanted for a much better value. however,as always, i recommend extended warranty.
