Very responsive and zippy

I needed a car with automatic transmission after an injury made shifting my manual Acura Legend painful. I looked at cars for some time and was interested in Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. I tried the 2006 Focus Sedan 4-dr and it was compact but roomy inside. I find the ride very quiet with the exception of the heater/air conditioner which is a little loud [most fans are] but works so very well I don't need to have it on for more than 4 minutes to adjust the temp in the entire car.---My insurance company likes the high safety rating. The best thing about this car is how it handles and accelerates, quick response and zippy pickup but not loud power pickup like a race car. It let's you scoot out of the way fast and stop and steer around for those unexpected situations one encounters in city traffic. ---->This car is fun to drive and easy to park. My radio has CD mp3 and little things that make the car fun. Looks: I was driving, saw a BMW and thought it was another Focus until I moved closer and read the logo and smiled to myself. I like the central placement of the antenna on the front roof because it is easy to reach and unscrew for a quick pre-VIP pickup run through an automatic car wash. I am getting slightly above average gas mileage and though I need to check further, I seem to recall reading that it may qualify for some emission conservation credits.

This is a great car for a single person / commuter.
