I did extensive research, and ended up with the Freestyle!

My needs seemed simple, until I began my search for a new car which would fit 6 comfortably, have AWD, and get half decent gas mileage. The major challenge for us was that I have three children (Two in child seats and one in a booster). I was looking for a configuration of back seats where I could permanently anchor the child seats in the second row and yet enable access to the thrid row for my son who uses a booster seat. If you look on the market, there are not many crossover vehicles where you don't have to move the second row seat to accomodate someone reaching the third row. Freestyle offered it! They have a seat configuration which is somewhat like a minivan in that a child can walk between the second row seats to get to the third row! I might also add that the third row is acutally usable with ample leg room for children and adults. The vehicle offered AWD, had a six cylinder engine (Yes, I know its slow, but I am carrying children and my expectations are realistic). Gas mileage averages at 19.5 mixed city and hwy. This is my first american car purchase, and I am overall pleased with the 2005 Ford Freestyle!
