Were you expecting something different from the car it replaced the Escort? Well some things are a lot different but the ride overall is still the same, when you accelerate it feels like an escort not that it's a bad thing, you do sit higher and have more leg room in the front and the way the dashboard is made it makes the car feel bigger than it is, It has a feature with the stereo that changes the sound level with your acceleration which is a nice feature to have because your not trying to turn up or down the sound all the time, My car has the auto transmission and it also has all power options, windows, doors, which lock when you put the car in gear, cruise control, and power mirrors which most people expect standard now days, but I wish I had my manual windows and locks, less things to break down later? and 3 cup holders, the 2 up front are in a good position unless you have the car in park and then it's a little tricky with bigger cups, the stereo system is 10 times better than anything that came in an escort and you have speakers everywhere I think there are 6 but I've not really counted all I know is it gets the job done for any music or talk radio I choose to listen to, I haven't had any issues with the car yet, and build quality is great everything seems to fit together well in the car, unlike Dodge Chrysler Jeep which is known for poor build quality. The new engine is more quiet than the 04 model and does the job on the highway and goes as fast as I need it to when it counts. I do recommend this car for anyone on a budget or getting their 1st new car it is just as good as a Honda civic or Toyota and with the rebates offered you get it for a lot less. The seating is comfortable mine is cloth and the trunk has enough space for groceries and what not. The back seat is small as most are in this class you really can't seat any adult behind me with comfort but small children fit fine. Goodyear Eagles come with the car and most of them come with hub-caps but the alloys are what I recommend getting who wants to see there wheel fly off on a turn somewhere lost forever. It also has an optional overdrive button so you can turn it on or off, it can effect your gas mileage but I've not used mine much. Overall it's a sold car for the money and seems to be reliable so far with no problems for me as I approach 5000 miles.
