Grazing In A Crowded Field

Date of Review:  May 13, 2002
The Bottom Line: The newest Ford SUV has improved handling and a new safety system, but also safety holes, below average gas mileage, not so impressive space and run-of-the-mill appearance.
Review: Wednesday night, who goes out on a Wednesday night? There?s this reggae party that happens at one of the beach-front hotels in my area. Kind of a tradition for the locals, but I haven?t been to it since 1995. Well, a bunch of my fiance?s co-workers...

It's Hard to Tell They Updated Until You Drive It

Date of Review:  Oct 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: It's an improvement over the previous model -- but then the competition is working to improve, too.
Review: It's actually relatively rare for me to revisit a vehicle I've driven and reviewed during my stint here at Epinions -- not that I don't wish to, but, well, I'm usually at the mercy of my local Enterprise Rent-A-Car's stock when I wander in. This...

2003 Ford Expedition: Defending the Indefensible

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: Makes sense for those who have to comfortably carry a large number of adults over difficult roads. Huge improvements for 2003.
Review: I'm personally not a big fan of large SUVs. They use massive amounts of gasoline—mileage is generally in the low teens—and owing to their nearly three-ton weight and high bumpers constitute a danger to anyone in a smaller vehicle, especially if that...

This is the Used Ford SUV to Get

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2009
The Bottom Line: A very good looking SUV both inside and out. Look for an Eddie Bauer Edition used because the price will be similar to lesser equipped Expeditions.
Review: The 2003 Ford Expedition has come along way in terms of refinement and civility since its introduction in 1997. While the Expedition was one of only a few choices in full-size SUVs back then, subsequent years have brought a flurry of new trucks. In...

Great rig

Date of Review:  Feb 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would not only recommend this to a friend, I have recommended it to my brother. I am planning on updating to a new Expedition in the next 2 yrs.
Review: I traded in my 2000 Jeep GC limited, because I needed something w/ more room and larger tow capacity. I loved the Jeep, but I'm so much happier. The 5.4 Triton in my opinion is the best engine, period. I have had 5.4 Tritons before and either driven...

BUILT FORD TOUGH???

Date of Review:  Dec 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you elect to purchase an Expedition, I strongly suggest that you pay the ransom money and purchase the extended warranty.
Review: I was the first to drive my new company Expedition off of the lot in South Miami. The Expedition was a beautiful Eddie Bauer edition. The trouble started early. At about 12,000 miles I took the car back to the dealership to complain about a grinding...

2003 Great Expeditations - An intense investigation

Date of Review:  Apr 11, 2003
The Bottom Line: Compared to the competition the all new Expedition is the Best Bang for the Buck full size SUV on the market.
Review: I surprised my wife (of 25 years) with a new SUV. She's been driving a Tahoe for 6 years now and we were not too impressed with it. The fact we bought a Ford is a miracle. We were both hardcore GM people. Her father was GM service manager for 20...

EXPEDITION IS THE MOTHER SHIP!!!

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2005
The Bottom Line: Great vehicle if you need space and comfort.
Review: I use to own a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 2 door. This car was fantastic. The only problem I had with that vehicle was a fuel sensor, and it was a pleasure to drive.
I am in the art business so i needed a bigger vehicle to haul paintings and...

2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer

Date of Review:  May 11, 2008
The Bottom Line: Poor quality design, for such and expensive vehicle.
Review: This was a great vehicle under 35,000 miles. By the time 75,000 miles was put on it, a list of problems developed that shouldn't have for a vehicle that expensive and generally so few miles on it.
This vehicle has given nothing but headaches...

Don't listen to anyone about this until you drive it!!

Date of Review:  Jun 19, 2002
The Bottom Line: You can't beat this for Space, Power, Versatility and Comfort. No other Large SUV comes close.
Review: After reading the review basically bashing this ride, I had to write one of my own. I drove a 1999 Eddie Bauer with the 5.4L engine for the last 3 years, and let me tell you, a 100% change for the better in the new 2003. I've driven the '03 for...
