2002 Ford Expedition has Exceeded Safety Standards for MY Baby Niece!

by   djgeiger ,  Aug 29, 2001
Pros: safety, good amount of cargo space, comfort, maneuverability, price, seat up to nine.
Cons: It's darn hard to climb up into the beast!
The Bottom Line: safety, good amount of cargo space, comfort, maneuverability, price, seat up to nine.
Review: My niece and nephew decided it was time to start a family. One of the first things on their agenda was buying a very safe vehicle for the new baby. Of course safety was the major concern as was space.

I’m sure the...

"Kinda like Riding an Elephant"

by   bigtruckseries ,  Sep 17, 2006
Pros: HUGE, SPACIOUS, lends itself easily to utility purposes
Cons: Lacks the luxury of newer models (understandable); Ride can be a bit challenging.
The Bottom Line: They don't make SUV's like this anymore. The 2002 Expedition was huge, made for huge Americans with utility strongly in mind. EXCELLENT OWNERS EXPERIENCE.
Review: My family has been strictly Ford, Lincoln and Mercury buyers. I grew up with those brand names and they have treated us extremely well. I recently broke with tradition by buying Cadillac Escalade EXT 2003 and then 2007. I am desperately waiting for ...

Three Years Worth of Driving

by   guardsix ,  Mar 18, 2005
Pros: Highly maneuverable, great visibility, safe
Cons: Third row seat gets in the way sometime.
The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, buy it, if not find something else!
Review: I bought my 2002 EB Expedition in Oct of '01. I've driven it as my only vehicle since then and I am absolutely glad that I bought it. I'll probably buy another one soon! My vehicle has the large 5.4L V8 engine, has a brush guard on the front and ...

2002 Eddie Bauer - A review by an actual owner!!

by   cschneid ,  Jul 1, 2002
Pros: Lots of room for passengers and hauling, Eddie Bauer styling
Cons: Gas Mileage, 3rd row seat doesn't fold flat, won't fit in older parking garages
The Bottom Line: I absolutely recommend the Expedition without reservation. The Eddie Bauer Edition is the only way to go!! You won't be disappointed.
Review: I've read all of the other reviews posted for the 2002 Expedition and I'm amazed that most of the reviewers don't even own one, yet are compelled to write reviews that are nothing more than retyped spec sheets from Ford.

Take it from an actual...

Ford Got This One Right!

by   bigisbetter ,  Oct 14, 2002
Pros: Cavernous interior, all the ammenities, awesome towing capability, plenty of power
Cons: Lower resale value compared to imports
The Bottom Line: Outstanding vehicle. Give it a drive and you might be hooked! The ultimate multi-purpose unit. A 4X4 leather sofa in a concert hall that travels!
Review: Ford did it right with the Expedition. Both of my younger brothers bought one and after riding inthem I followed suit. I'm not a big fan of domestic cars from a reliability standpoint being a Honda/Toyota connesiour. But, being 6ft2in with all the...

Nearly Perfect

by   mcoholmes ,  Aug 9, 2002
Pros: Smooth, quiet, sturdy, well-built, powerful, massive interior space
Cons: Removable seat is brutally heavy
The Bottom Line: 99% great SUV. Only advice would be to make sure you get the new feature of the retractable 3rd-row seat. You'll be very happy you do.
Review: Everything about our new 2002 Expedition is better than our 1997 Explorer Sport. More power, better handling, quieter ride, better gas mileage, smaller turning radius. The only piece of advice we offer to anyone planning on buying a new Expedition is...

Give Ford A Kiss!!

by   mjmrn4 ,  Sep 29, 2005
Pros: passenger seating, smooth ride, lasting engine
Cons: cargo space, gas mileage
Review: I bought my 2002 Eddie Bauer Expedition brand new. Boy, I could not wait to drive this truck around and live in luxury. I can tell you that Ford has definitely not let me down on this one. I have not had the first problem with my truck and it still runs ...

My second Expedition

by   capanther ,  May 19, 2007
Pros: looks, feel, options, quality
Cons: gas mileage
Review: This is my second Expedition. I traded my 98 model in on this 02 model. I love the room and comfortable interior. It has all the options that anyone needs. It has a great ride and seems very well built. It has over 100,000 miles and still feels like a ...

2002 Ford Expedition: Big, Prestigious, and Expensive

by   Bryan_Carey ,  Jan 21, 2002
Pros: Safety ratings are high; prestigious; roomy interior
Cons: High price tag; few colors; difficulty in parking; annoying seat belt warning beeper
The Bottom Line: This is a prestigious SUV, but unless you really need something this large and this expensive, you should probably pass.
Review: Are you in the market for a sport utility vehicle? Do you need an SUV that has lots of room, for both passengers and for hauling? If so, then the 2002 Ford Expedition might be just the vehicle you’ve been looking for. Ford introduced this line of...

This will be our fourth Expedition

by   tas333 ,  Dec 22, 2001
Pros: easy to drive, able to see 5 cars ahead of you, very roomy, 4 wheel drive
Cons: parking garages, bumpy ride, eats gas,
The Bottom Line: If you can afford the gas, GET ONE! We are going on our fourth one, does that tell you anything. Other than the bumpy ride, We love it!
Review: We had one of the first Ford Expeditions out to hit the road in late 96 and we would have everyone come up to us and ask us “how we liked it." We are on the 2-year lease program and we would just hand it in for another one. I am a tiny woman and at...
