Pros: Roomy, good handling, high seating with good view of road.
Cons: Cheap interior plastics on pre-2008 models, avoid the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder.
The Bottom Line: Thumbs up. If you need an SUV that is roomy and comfortable yet handles well and is easy to park, the Escape is for you.

Review: Our current Escape, a silver 2002 XLT FWD with the 3.0 liter V-6, is actually our third Escape. We ordered one for my wife when they first came out in 2000. That one was a red XLT with the 3.0 liter V-6 and 4WD. It had most available options except...

Pros: Packaging, perfect size, nice style, roomy, spunky handling.
Cons: Lots of noise, rattles and squeaks, lacking off-road verve.
The Bottom Line: Great all-around vehicle with no areas of true excellence.

Review: I recently had the chance to rent a loaded Escape for a week-long business trip--an experience I have been looking forward to having. Overall, I liked the Escape a great deal, but I'm not sure I'd plunk down my own hard-earned dollars to own one...

Pros: Excellent ride, comfy seats, AWESOME shell for added safety in a crash.
Cons: Price is a bit high. The interior controls seem a bit basic.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a great SUV, this may be the one. Just do your research, and decide for yourself. :)

Review: We are stationed overseas in Okinawa Japan through the AirForce. We are used to driving old foreign junkers that we picked up for about $800 or less, just to last us through our tour and also allowed us to save some money. We decided that since we...

Pros: A SUV that handles like a car. Good gas mileage. Not oversized.
Cons: If you need a real SUV,the Escape is too small.
The Bottom Line: The Escape is rugged and yet handles well. I was a real pleasure to drive. Very good fuel economy for a SUV.

Review: Pocket sized.
Ford Escape 2002. For 2002 the Ford Escape has been declared the best in its class for interior space and the best in its class for passenger comfort and room. At first I thought that the Escape would... |

Pros: Semi affordable, even for the fully loaded model with a V6
Cons: Small. For the 25k top of the line model, you could get an Explorer
The Bottom Line: For about 22-25 thousand, this SUV is worth a test drive. I do recommend that you try other SUVs first.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I am not going to write about stats and specs for this SUV. That is mostly available in car magazines, and many other websites.
First impressions: 1. From the outside, it looks larger and 'meaner' than a comparably priced Toyota Rav4... |

Pros: Roomy, good looking, powerful, well conceived vehicle
Cons: Higher level of road noise than a car
The Bottom Line: My first American Vehicle in 19 years. Very impressed. Well designed small SUV. Understand why it is the best selling small SUV in history!

Pros: Handles like a car; Good Gas Mileage; Nice Appearance
Cons: Seat belt warning beeper is annoying; Cargo space is limited
The Bottom Line: This is a very good SUV, for those who don't need a very significant amount of cargo space.

Review: Sport Utility Vehicles have become very popular over the years, and most every manufacturer offers at least one SUV in its product line. Ford Motor Company has several SUV to choose from, and with the zero- financing offers that have been promoted...

Pros: Overall size. Accessories. Power. Structural Safety. Yes, the 4x4
Cons: Handling on slick surfaces. Limited storage capacity. With 2 child car seats, rear seating limited.
The Bottom Line: Definitely recommended. Resale value has gone up. SUV-like Handling is an issue, and it's loose in snow. Use snow tires!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: We love our Escape. We traded in our 96 Taurus and actually gained room in our garage. It has comfortable room for four, space for the dog and amenities.
However, I recently crashed my 2002 4 wheel drive Escape. While driving a straight... |

Review: Let me start off by saying that this is the first time I've been an SUV owner. So far, I've owned three vehicles, all Pontiacs. Finally after 6 years of college and three years in the workforce, I decided that it was time for me to pay myself back...
