Author's Review

I have owned my 1999 E-250 cargo van since it was a yr old. It was used as a state highway department vehicle prior to my owning it. This is my first Ford van, have had gm and dodge vans in the past. I used this van in my carpenter business since it was purchased, and it has never let me down. The only problems i have had with it were a bad spark plug coil, and replaceing the ball joints. Both of these problems showed up at aprox 100,000 miles. I have the 5.4 engine in this van, and have been really impressed with its power and gas millege. I get 15 to 17 mpg on the road, loaded or empty. The body has held up great, with no visible rust problems. I have always used ams-oil in my vehicles and believe this is one reason why i have gotten so many miles out of my engines with no oil consumption, or major problems. I have 178,000 miles on this van now and am sure i will be able to get another 100,000 miles out of it. I have no plans on getting rid of it int he near future.
