Its almost a no brainer.

by   jeffgarret ,  Jun 26, 2000
Pros: Great hauler, good price
Cons: Ours has a V-6
Review: Our small business needed a cargo van a year ago and you can't really buy a cargo van without at least considering the Econoline. The Big Three all make cargo vans that are comparable in size, cargo capacity and price. We researched, measured and drove...

Pros: great gas millege, no oil consumption, handles a heavy load with ease
Cons: sorry-cant think of a complaint
The Bottom Line: i would recommend buying a 1999 E-250 to anyone that wants a good trouble-free work van.
Review: I have owned my 1999 E-250 cargo van since it was a yr old. It was used as a state highway department vehicle prior to my owning it. This is my first Ford van, have had gm and dodge vans in the past. I used this van in my carpenter business since it ...

I've Owned and Rented Many Different Vans

by   honest_review ,  Feb 11, 2000
Pros: Ford has designed and built a studier van.
Cons: Huge windshield is hot and bright in summer
Review: Many owners of Vans become rigidly loyal to a single manufacturer. I have always liked to experiment because I have had the luxury of buying so many different vans due to my owning 4-5 vehicles at a time. Just like most products, there are...

A Great Family Vehicle!

by   jwbrooks ,  Dec 11, 1999
Pros: Roominess, ride, and retail pricing.
Cons: Gas consumption
Review: To all you chaperoning parents; here's the ticket! A van that rides like a Lincoln with the roominess of a stretch limousine - the Ford Econoline, E-150 Conversion model(with 5 children and a dog we had to have something more than a Chevy Cavalier). We...

Love this van

by   DonnaG ,  Jan 21, 2000
Pros: Great for family
Cons: needs more storage
Review: We just bought our van in December of 1999. We have the E-150 Conversion. And i just have to say that I love this van. I have 4 kids, so anything smaller just would not work. We have had a few problems with minor things. Like a blind screw coming out...

Commercial Interest

by   gino-sabucco ,  Dec 12, 1999
Pros: More space for storage shelving/ more cargo space/ high dependability/ high durability/ clean appearance.
Cons: As is with all extended Vans, the prices have gone up by 400 % over the past 20 years. The average Vehicle is only worth about $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 per year, and the anticipated life expectancy of one of these Vehicles, for Professional use, is only abou
Review: As a professional Floor Covering Installer, I'm very interested in the size, color selection and appearance of these full sized vans. The room for Cabinetry, Storage, Cargo space, Drive ability, and Dependability mean every thing to me!, but at the same...

Ford E-350 15-seater, no frills, a good buy

by   DJBoels ,  Dec 19, 1999
Pros: Visibility, handling, reliability, ease of maintenance
Cons: Side door alignment requires some tweaking
Review: My wife and I purchased a 1999 Ford E-350 15-seater for our growing family (with our sixth child on the way). Our van is not loaded with options -- while we have tint windows, cruise control and running boards, we opted for no carpet or power features to...

Heavy use report - E-350 Cargo Van - 5.4 liter Triton Engine

by   lounova ,  Feb 21, 2004
Pros: Dependability, 4 wheel ABS disc brakes, 4200 lb. weight capacity.
Cons: Ball joints don't have grease fittings. Gas mileage is so-so. Larger tires cost more.
The Bottom Line: 168,000 miles with no breakdowns. Good value.
Review: This has been my 4th Econoline van, and it has been the best out of the bunch so far. I have owned a 1981 E-150 1989 E-350 1993 E-350 1999 E-350 All have been used in the delivery business, which means pretty heavy use. The reason for the ...

Great for traveling!

by   Jewels181 ,  Jan 24, 2000
Pros: Comfort, roomy, tv and vcr.
Cons: low gas mileage, minimum storage room
Review: We purchased this vehicle in May of 1999. I operate a daycare in my home and regularly transport four to six children on a daily basis. We took our first long road trip in July to Galveston, TX. The van with the TV and VCR made the trip very enjoyable!...

by   sueme ,  Sep 3, 2000
Pros: Lots of seating, Handles very well, Conversion looks really good
Cons: Fuel economy, Mirrors could be better, Conversion not as tough as it could be
Review: Quite honestly, I have always hated vans! We were looking to purchase a Tahoe! After a great deal of consideration and test driving and budget comparisons, we decided that we simply could not afford this vehicle.

We looked at the options...
