Reliable, well made workhorse

5 years old, and this trusty little 4x4 has only had one problem --- the check engine light came on (which turned out to be a software problem.) Its as tight as the day it was made, with one of those irritating little problems that generally plague vehicles in middle age.

I've turned lots of friends on to the Ranger, if they've been looking at Toyota pickups. Yeah, Toyota has a reputation for reliability, but they get a big premium for the reputation. The Ranger is as reliable, in my opinion, at a much lower cost. And the cab's more spacious, too.
