I have the V8 4.6L engine, which Ford made pretty reliable. This is the kinda car you'd want to get if you only have about 4,500-7,000 dollars, and if you want to beat several cars in the student parking lot...

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend it - Before looking at this vehicle, look seriously at what the Japanese car makers have to offer.
