My 1993 Ford Taurus has been a great winter vehicle. I am a person who despises the snow and ice, and have even had one winter accident, that even frightens me more when driving in hazardous conditions.
I have the 1993 Ford Taurus, 4-door sedan, six cylinder, car, front-wheel drive, and I have not had any problems in the snow and ice. As with winter driving, you do need to take your time, but, I will tell you this, the car doesn't veer all over the road when there is snow and ice. I hate the feeling in my stomach when I have to drive over ice, but since I have had the Taurus, I have had no problems with winter driving.
In addition, my husband and I have used the Taurus to travel with. It is really good on gas mileage and for long trips. We drove to Virginia Beach, Va, and the ride was very comfortable. We didn't have to worry about a gas-guzzling vehicle because the Taurus is not one. We enjoyed our trip down and back. The seats were plush and there was relatively no feeling of the road bumps and pits as with some cars. The Taurus is really a worthwhile investment.
