Author's Review

Ford Trucks have come a long way. The began as a necessity for everything from being able to get there, or hauling that load to taking the family for a ride. However, many styles have been introduced. My personal favorite is 1977 to 1979. These were the "muscle" trucks to own. My husband and I recently purchased a 1993 F150. It is very nice but would trade it even up for a 1977 model fast! The 93 model is so touchy to repair if a problem occurs. Any need parts must be ordered unless you are lucky. Then you still need to take it to a repair shop to be installed. The 70 models were so rugged but simple to fix. A part cost barely nothing to purchase and chances are even the not so mechanically inclined can install it. The room under the hood is so different. The 90's model is so compact you almost need to tare the whole engine apart to make one simple repair. Trying to re attach a warn hose is a very tight subject. You have no tool space let alone any hand movement abilities. With the 70's models you can climb yourself and a friend into the hood area and make movements and insert your tools and hands in and around almost any area of the engines. If you see a 70's model F series truck, stop and take a good look at it. I am sure you will agree, anyone who owns one of these wonderful "muscle" trucks will truly feel like the "KING of the Road" !!!
