Can't let go!!

We all know that sometimes we get attached to our cars, I'm one of those guys that treats them more like a member of the family than just transportation. It all started in 1994 when I helped my Aunt find an inexpensive commuter car. We found a 1993 LX wagon at a local Ford dealer. The little car served her well for 9 years and when she purchased her next car knowing that I was having problems with my vehicle she asked if I was interested in it. Initially I figured I would drive the car until my financial situation improved and took her up on the offer. I drove the car for the next 6 years and never looked back. I did have the opportunity to get another car as time passed and finances improved but I couldn't justify it. Not only had the car been reliable, economical and fun to drive but It had also earned status as a family member. After years of commuting, road trips and day to day life (a great car to take to Home Depot) it's time seemed to have come. The timing belt broke prematurely; we had always had it changed according to schedule. I decided with 230k miles It was time for a new car. The test drives are over and the temp tags are off of the new car but the wagon is still sitting out front. I just can't let go.
