New 2008 Ford Focus test drive
Date of Review: Oct 27, 2007
The Bottom Line: I think this is a good buy - It fits the needs of my family perfectly.
Today I had the opportunity to test drive a new 2008 Ford Focus SE 4-door sedan with cruise control and Sirius radio. My wife didn't want to even think about the 2007 Focus since she didn't like the way it looked, and actually got angry with me for going to look at the 2008. However, I drove it home and asked her to drive it, which she did just to please me. She loved it! She is only 5' tall, and could adjust the seat so she could put the heel of her foot on the floor and use the gas pedal, and not have to raise her foot up to use the brake. The car had plenty of pick-up and go, rode well on the interstate as well as over railroad tracks, had little road noise, more room in the back seat than the car I have now ('99 Escort ZX2), plenty trunk room for the two of us, ease of entry and exit in the driver's seat and passenger seat. . .just what we want to replace my car. She was ready to go in and buy it today. We are waiting a few months to purchase for personal reasons, but have made up our minds that this is the car we want. I must also state that we are, and have been for several years, fans of Ford products.
