I'm not going to lie. The only reason I got this car is because I got a good deal on it. Otherwise, I would have gotten a bigger car. This car, suprisingly enough, has a fair amount of leg room inside. It's very comfortable with the cloth seats, but has available leather seats on SE and SES trim levels. Unfortuneately, I decided to go for the base model. This was a mistake because it does not have power windows or locks. Automatic transmission and a spare tire (donut) are options! It does have a fair amount of standard features, however. Some of these include 6 standard airbags, CD player, MP3 Jack, Sirius satellite radio, stability control and air conditioning. The car is extremely economical. At the most, on the highway you can get up to 36-37 miles per gallon. It has a 13 gallon tank. This gives you at the most 481 miles on a tank! That's a major help, especially with the way gas prices are these days. Even with that kind of gas mileage, it still has a lot of power. Under the hood is a 2.0L V4 engine, that puts out around 150 horsepower, although, a PZEV (Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) engine is available, and actually required in some states, which gives you 140 HP. It may not sound like much, but this car has pep. I have noticed that it has the same pick up as my moms car, which is a 2003 Ford Focus, with a 2.3L PZEV engine. It is available in sedan and coupe styles, as Ford decided to get rid of the hatchback version for 2008. It is also available in a plethora of colors. Pricewise? Can't be beat. The base coupe will cost around 14,500, and the SES with all of the options will cost you around 18,000. All in all, if you're looking for the smaller car with great gas mileage, look past the Colbalt and get the Focus. You'll be glad you did!
