2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty Review

The F-350 Super Duty screams over kill. Step up to the 350, and one word sums is up quite nicely. Huge. That word reverbs through the whole truck... but as I found not in a bad way.
Fords new styling is reflected in 350, new, controversial, and hard to miss. This truck has presence. The standard sharp lines, large grill opening and new head lights are present from the lesser 250 and 150 series, just bigger. Outside the 350 does however get roof mounted marker lights, large towing package mirrors and large flares covering the dual rear wheels.
Handling is decent for a truck of its size. Large bumps at speed make the 350 feel light, and floaty, perhaps from the heavy duty suspension. The base engine (5.4 L) provides plenty of towing power, but lacks low end grunt even with no load. Wait a second, and the turbo charged diesel spools out plenty of torque.
Inside the truck feels just as big as inside. The seats are large and comfortable, and the interior plastics feel… expensive? It’s a definite improvement since the last generation super duties. The back seat is for children and payload no more. Complete with cup holders, people over 6 feet can slip in back with ease.
Of course the 350 will be geared towards businesses that need a vehicle capable of carrying any payload, and capable of towing massive loads. The 350 fits the bill perfectly and marks a step forward for Fords larger trucks.
